Here we have Merlene.  She was originally Merlin but when spring came after a few years it was pretty obvious she had to be renamed. She is also one of my favorite fish.  My wife and I got her one year when we went to the mountains to get a Christmas tree and stopped at a small nursery for some greenery.  Here was this lonely three inch koi.  I kept her in an aquarium till spring. By then she was too big for the small tank.  She is one that everyone who vists the pond admires along with Andy who with the long eyebrows was named for Andy Rooney of 60 Minutes.
